"output": "json" to get that page as fields: a coin’s price and changes from 1 hour to 1 year, market cap, volume, supply and all-time high, an exchange’s pairs, or a day’s candles. You don’t need a CoinMarketCap account or API key. Each link costs 1 credit, and big lists cost a little more (credits).
Example
count sets how many coins a ranking link returns:
result, shortened to one coin:
Links that work
A symbol works in place of a slug:
/currencies/btc/ reads the best-ranked coin with that symbol and names the other coins that share it.
Historical prices
range takes 30d, 1y or all, or set start and end dates. interval takes 15m, 1h, 4h, 1d or 7d. For the price chart’s points instead of candles, use ?chart=1D up to ALL.
Other currencies
Add?convert=EUR to any link for prices in another currency. It takes any fiat currency CoinMarketCap lists, gold and silver, or a coin symbol such as BTC. Rankings and historical data come back already converted by CoinMarketCap. Other links are converted from USD at CoinMarketCap’s rate at the time of the request, and the result says which fields stay in USD.
Credits
- Each link is 1 credit.
- Lists include 100 rows in that credit, and each further 100 rows is 1 more. A ranking of 5,000 coins is 50 credits.
Limits
- Prices are what CoinMarketCap shows at the moment of the request, which
fetchedAtrecords. - CoinMarketCap caps some lists: gainers and losers go up to 30 coins, new listings up to 500, and trending covers the last 24 hours only.
- Airdrops, community posts and CoinMarketCap’s news summaries aren’t available.
