# Google Flights

> Get every itinerary on a Google Flights search, with prices, airlines, times, stops, aircraft, emissions and Google's price insights, as structured data, for 1 credit per link.

Send a Google Flights link to [Scrape](https://docs.spidra.io/scrape.md) or [Batch scrape](https://docs.spidra.io/batch-scrape.md) and you get every itinerary on the search as JSON, with prices, airlines, times, stops and Google's price insights. Each link costs 1 credit, and a search with no flights, or a date in the past or more than a year ahead, costs nothing.

## Example

A free-text search works as a link:

```json theme={null}
{
  "urls": ["https://www.google.com/travel/flights?q=flights%20from%20JFK%20to%20LHR%20on%202026-12-10%20one%20way"],
  "output": "json",
  "wait": true
}
```

The item's `result`, shortened to one flight:

```json theme={null}
{
  "type": "search",
  "resultCount": 133,
  "cheapestPrice": 295,
  "currency": "USD",
  "priceInsights": { "lowestPrice": 295, "priceLevel": "typical", "typicalPriceRange": { "low": 170, "high": 465 } },
  "flights": [
    {
      "price": 295,
      "airlines": ["Delta"],
      "flightNumbers": ["DL 1"],
      "departureAirport": { "code": "JFK", "name": "John F. Kennedy International Airport", "date": "2026-12-10", "time": "20:00" },
      "arrivalAirport": { "code": "LHR", "name": "Heathrow Airport", "date": "2026-12-11", "time": "08:05" },
      "duration": "7 hr 5 min",
      "stops": 0
    }
  ]
}
```

## Links that work

| Link | You get |
| - | - |
| A search (`google.com/travel/flights/search?tfs=...`): one way or round trip, with any filters (cabin, passengers, stops, airlines, several airports, times, bags) | Up to about 300 itineraries |
| The return flights for a round trip outbound (each round-trip row has its `returnFlightsUrl`) | The return flights, priced as the round-trip total |
| A free-text query (`google.com/travel/flights?q=...`) such as "JFK to LHR on 2026-12-10 one way", "2 adults", "nonstop" | The same as a search |

The market, language and currency come from the link's `gl`, `hl` and `curr` parameters.

## Fields

**Each flight:** `position`, `isBest`, `price`, `currency`, `airline`, `airlines`, `flightNumbers`, `departureAirport`, `arrivalAirport`, `duration`, `durationMinutes`, `stops`, `layovers`, `legs` (with aircraft, seat, legroom, Wi-Fi, power and video, operator, overnight and often-delayed flags), `carbonEmissions`, `bagsIncluded`, `fare` (change and refund rules when Google shows them), `bookingToken`, `bookingUrl` and `returnFlightsUrl`.

**The search:** `resultCount`, `cheapestPrice`, `priceInsights` (lowest price, typical range, price level and about 60 days of price history), `cheapestFlight`, `airlineSummary`, `nearbyAirportDeals`, `airports`, `airlinesOnRoute`, `alliances` and bag policy links per airline.

## Limits

Google only serves some views through calls its page signs, so these aren't covered: booking options (sellers and their prices), the date grid and price graph, Explore destinations and multi-city results. Those links are read in a normal browser instead. For the cheapest days to fly, run one search per date; the [Cheapest days to fly](https://docs.spidra.io/templates.md) template does this for you.

## Templates

Ready-made [templates](https://docs.spidra.io/templates.md) for Google Flights: cheapest flights for a route, cheapest days to fly, compare fares across routes, route price history and search links. Airport codes come from [Look Up Airports](https://docs.spidra.io/api-reference/templates/airports.md).
